A story of contemporary yogis…

After travelling India, living in temples and ashrams, and falling in-love with it's exquisite spiritual culture, Mark and Sunni met at a yoga class in Vancouver. Connecting at local yoga events, they soon discovered a common desire to live a more natural lifestyle, dedicated to divine service. Inspired by a calling to share yoga, they set-out to find the future home of the 'mountain ashram' that Mark envisioned. Their search for nature and community led them 4 hours north of Vancouver to Venables Valley - home of Saranagati, an off grid, bhakti yoga and organic farming village. During their first visit, Sunni and Mark felt a strong connection with this sacred valley and community. With a warm invitation from their new friends, they packed-up their city life and 4 month old son, Nash, to realize a dream.

"My life was no longer what I was programmed to believe it was."

"My life was no longer what I was programmed to believe it was."

Mark Alan Greenberg - Visionary, Builder and Industrial Artist.

Mark's career life began in a cubical, crunching numbers and playing financial games. Unsatisfied and uninspired, he left the corporate world and embarked on a solo journey through India, travelling 16,000 kms on a Royal Enfield motorcycle. After unleashing his creativity during an art internship, Mark returned to Canada, a changed man. With a fresh dose of inspiration, he began a completely new personal path and started a career in design, sculpture and building furniture. MAG's work can be found in local Vancouver galleries and homes.

As a youngster, Mark watched his father build their family home. He's grateful to have inherited these invaluable skills and work ethic. Combining his artistic and building skills with his love of India’s spiritual culture, Mark is now fulfilling his ultimate dream of homestead and retreat life.

"Living yoga for me, is the daily application of yogic wisdom, which connects me to my divinity.”
